The Honeycutt Award is a bestowed on the most outstanding poster presentation by pre-professional or professional students, nurses or advanced practice nurses, midwives or medical residents of any specialty. The poster presentation will be judged by a scientific panel chosen by the Watson Bowes Research Institute.

The posters are presented and judged each year at the Matthew Bulfin Educational Conference (MBEC). The winner will be presented with the Honeycutt Award ($500) on Saturday morning of the conference, during the plenary session.

Posters must be set up the first day of the conference – more details coming soon! The Honeycutt Award will be given to the presentation which scored the highest on 3 criteria: scientific merit, applicability to life issues, and presentation.

Deadline to sign-up: February 19, 2026

About the Conference

Our national medical education conference addresses topics related to life-affirming and pro-family medical practice, bioethics and legal updates that impact your practice.  In addition to a review of the latest medical evidence related to these issues, attendees will have the opportunity to meet and interact with researchers, speakers, and fellow physicians who know the challenges our profession is facing and an give you the information that you need.

What have others said about our conference?

I learned a tremendous amount from the MBEC conference, but what has made the largest impact on me was knowing that I am not alone in this mission to protect women and children. Everytime I feel like I am alone in this fight as a future physician, I remember all the other students and mentors that I met and I no longer feel alone. Personally, I have faced much adversity since the overturn of Roe vs. Wade and so having the support of those who attended the conference has given me the strength to continue advocating for life.

As a first-time attendee at this conference, I was not sure what to expect, but I found this conference to be an amazing event . I was so inspired to meet so many outstanding medical professionals, arguably some of the best people on the planet in my opinion. The speakers and the topics were very relevant.
Mary Anne Mosack

The sessions were very encouraging, and the speakers were all excellent. I am so impressed with all that was covered and how exceptional all the plenary speakers and breakouts were. I left feeling equipped and knowledgeable.
